<span style="color: #222222;">Railways and GAIL India Limited today signed an MoU for use of Natural Gas in Railway workshops and production units. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The replacement of industrial gases and furnace oils with natural gas will results in cost benefits with potential of huge saving across all railway workshop and production units of Railways. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The MoU was signed in presence of Chairman, Railway Board Ashwani Lohani and CMD GAIL B C Tripathi in New Delhi. Speaking on this occasion, Mr Lohani said, this is not only an environment friendly initiative but also beneficial for Railways as it is going to cut down cost of fuel expenses. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Lohani directed that 23 identified workshops should start using Natural Gas by 31st of December this year and further all 54 workshops and Production Units should be covered by 30th of next year. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also directed that all railway establishments, including base kitchens of IRCTC, all guest houses and hostels and Railway divisions should start using Natural Gas by 30th of June next year.</span><br />'' &nbsp;
