Railways Minister Piyush Goyal has reiterated that Railways accord highest priority to safety in train operations. In a statement, he said, in the current financial year, train accidents have decreased from 95 to 65 in comparison to previous year. <br/><br/>He said, there is no shortage of funds for safety-related works and 73 thousand 65 crore rupees have been allocated for the next fiscal. Mr Goyal said, modern technologies are being adopted to lower reliance on human element and improve efficiency of the system. <br/><br/>The Minister said, Rashtriya Rail Sanraksha Kosh has been created with a corpus of one lakh crore rupees for making additional funds available for safety-related works.
