Railway will launch Vikalp scheme from 1st of the next month. Under the scheme if a passenger gives option of journey by another train, he will get the facility. This decision was taken in the two-day conference of Chief Commercial Managers of Railways in Bhopal. Current reservation through e-ticketing will also begin from 1st November while minimum rail fare will be 10 rupees from 6th November. It was also informed in the meeting that station based E-catering service has recently been launched through IRCTC on 45 major Railway Stations on a pilot basis for six months.
