In Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety has begun investigations into the cause of the Kalka mail train accident. The Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety will hear Railway officials and general public till the 15th of this month and camping at the Kanpur Railway office. The Railway has also appealed to the general public to present available facts to the Rail safety commissioner.Our correspondent reports, earlier, Railway authorities said that neither the use of emergency break nor changing the track line could be the cause of the accident.Meanwhile, a Public Interest Litigation has been filed in the Allahabad High Court today on the Kalka mail accident case. The petitioner demanded that a special investigation team comprising both Indian and Foreign rail experts should probe the accident. The High Court is likely to take up the case next week.
