Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has said that railway is one of the most environment friendly modes of travel in the country. There is a need to make investments in railway to make it sufficient for millions of people who travel daily. <br/><br/>While speaking at 6th annual United Nations young conclave in Mumbai yesterday, he said that the Railway Ministry has signed pact with Japan to bring in best practices in transportation and has awarded contracts worth 40,000 crore to GE, ALSTOM and others. Mr Prabhu added that 85 per cent of bullet train parts will be made in India.
