Railway Ministry will install CCTV cameras at one thousand railway stations across the country. Talking to AIR, Railway Board Chairman A K Mittal said, the camera footage will help investigate incidents taking place at the stations. He said, 500 crore rupees have been earmarked for the purpose under Nirbhaya fund.<br/><br/>Mr Mittal also said, the Ministry has directed its zonal offices to prepare citizen charter comprising facilities available to passengers at the booking counters. He said, the Ministry has already sent a draft of the charter. Mr Mittal said, the Ministry intends to fix time line for every kind of service, which railway provides to its passengers.
