The Railway Ministry has suspended four of its employees following today's accident at Tundla station in Uttar Pradesh. Three passangers were killed and 27 injured when Kanpur-bound 2724 Kalindi Express rammed into the stationary Shram Shakti Express.According to an official spokesman a new set of instructions and guidelines have also been issued to all the zonal railways for observing increased precautions for train operations during fog.The suspended personnel include Divisional Railway Manager ,Allahabad Division under North-Central Railway, S K Aggarwal, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer, Northern Railway, Vineet Singh and two drivers of the Kalindi ExpressAn enquiry has been ordered by the Commissioner of Railway Safety, North-Eastern Circle, Lucknow, P K Vajpayee, into the mishap .The Ministry has also announced 5 lakh rupees compensation to the next of kin of the deceased, one lakh for the seriously injured and 10,000 rupees for the injured.The rail traffic, which was disrupted because of the accident, has become normal on both the UP and down tracks on Delhi Howarh rail route.The railway has started helpline numbers at different stations and numbers are : Aligarh Junction-0571-2403055 , 2404056 and 2403458, Etawah 05688-266382 Tundla-05612-220337, Allahabad : 0532 – 2408149, 0532 – 2408128 ,0532 – 2407353 , Kanpur : 0512 -2323015,0512 – 2323016 ,0512 – 2323018, Fatehpur : 05180- 222025-26,Khurja : 05738 – 253084-85, Hathrus : 05722- 242741,05722- 24280, Manpuri : 05672 – 234701 (ASM) Farukhabad 05692- 222113 (ASM) AGRA : 0562- 2421026, 1072 Mirzapur : 05442- 220095 and Chunar : 05443- 290049,05443- 222487.
