Railway Minister lays foundation of Nadikudi-Srikalahasti project in Andhra Pradesh

Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu today laid the foundation via video conference from Delhi, for Nadikudi-Srikalahasti railway project and initiated several other development works in Andhra Pradesh. Mr. Prabhu flagged off the Double-Decker train between Visakhapatnam-Tirupathi besides launching hi-speed wi-fi facility in Guntur RS and ETTC new hostel building in Vijayawada and route relay interlocking system for Raidurg-Kalyandurg new railway line. <br/><br/>The programme was attended by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Civil Aviation Minister P. Ashok Gajapati Raju and Vijayawada MP K. Srinivasa Rao at Vijayawada. Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister thanked the Railway Ministry for launching six projects in a day. He said that Mr. Suresh Prabhu is giving top priority to Andhra Pradesh. He also reiterated the demand for railway zone at Visakhapatnam expressing hope that it would be realized in the new year of 2017.
