Rail minister Suresh Prabhu today said, railways is aiming to become a major player in global supply chain and as a manufacturing hub.<br/><br/>Mr. Prabhu speaking at a workshop in New Delhi said, research is neglected area in railways and his ministry is planning to establish more R and D centers. <br/><br/>Stressing the importance of research he said value addition can happen only when it is backed by research.<br/><br/>He further added Skill India and Make in India initiatives create tremendous opportunities for employment. He said and value addition through skill India is needed to make the country a manufacturing hub.
