Rail traffic on Gaya- Mughalsarai rail section restored

In Bihar, rail traffic on Gaya- Mughalsarai rail section has been restored after ten hours. AIR Patna Correspondent reports that rail traffic on this section was disrupted following recovery of two cane bombs on Tuesday night on up and down rail track between Ismailpur and Guraru rail stations. Security personnel made thorough inspection of the railway track. A number of trains including Rajdhani Express were stranded on several stations. Maoists have put banners on the track and threatened rail authorities not to run train during bandh period lest they must remain prepared for the consequences. In another incident, Maoists have beaten railway officials at Jamui rail station on Tuesday night. All long distance mail and express trains passing through Bihar have been put under tight surveillance. Sniper dogs have been pressed into service at vulnerable stations of East -Central Railway from the security point of view. Railways have also kept striking forces reserved at all important stations in the Maoist affected areas. Maoists blew up a mobile tower at Nanobigha village under Atari police station of the district. Two tractors and over one dozen huts were also torched by Maoists in Aurangabad district of the state. No casualty has been reported in these incidents. <br/>
