Rail service suspended in Kashmir for security reasons

Trains in the Kashmir valley have been suspended for security reasons. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Srinagar tomorrow. A railway official said that all runs between Srinagar-Badgam and Baramulla in north Kashmir and Srinagar-Anantnag, Qazigund in south Kashmir and Banihal in Jammu region have been cancelled trains today and tomorrow.

Rail service suspended in Kashmir for security reasons

All rail runs in the Kashmir valley have been suspended for security reasons following 'Million March' called by separatists tomorrow, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a rally in summer capital Srinagar. <br/><br/>A railway official said that for security reasons all rail runs between Srinagar-Badgam and Baramulla in north Kashmir and Srinagar-Anantnag, Qazigund in south Kashmir and Banihal in Jammu region have been cancelled.<br/><br/>There would be no rail service today and tomorrow on any route in the valley, he said. This is the third time the rail service was suspended in the valley for security reasons during the past one month. In the past, trains have been the main targets of agitators in the valley.
