The Railway Ministry has given clearance to a proposal to increase the rate of packaged drinking water Rail Neer from 12 rupees to 15 rupees for one litre bottle. The price of the 500 ml bottle will be increased from 8 to 10 rupees.

A Senior Railway Ministry official said, the IRCTC, which manufactures and supplies the packaged drinking water in rail premises, has to finalise a date for implementation of the new rate.
