Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu today flagged off a passenger train from Punalur to Palakkad and a first high-axle load steel carrier train from Jamshedpur to Chennai.<br/><br/>The Minister launched these facility through video conferencing from New Delhi. Mr Prabhu said, Kerala is a state with high population density and demand for public transport is high. He said, this new train would cater the needs of people of Kerala. <br/><br/>Besides, Mr Prabhu also inaugurated 45 new freight terminals developed with private investment. In the Rail Budget 2016-17, it was announced that railways would develop at least 100 freight terminals on private investment in the next two years. <br/>
