Narendra Modi led NDA government will present its maiden Rail Budget tomorrow. Railways Minister Sadananda Gowda will present the Budget in Lok Sabha at noon.

The Budget is expected to adopt a realistic approach in announcing new trains and projects, expansion of rail infrastructure including modernisation of stations. It will also spell out details of future course of action for having a Diamond Quadrilateral to run high speed trains.

The budget will also reflect the views of NDA government on Rail Tariff Authority and High Speed Rail Authority. With the decline in passenger earnings, it is likely to spell out its strategy for additional revenue generation.

The News Services Division of All India Radio will bring you a bilingual pre-rail budget live discussion from 11.30 am onwards. The discussion will be followed by live relay of the Railway Minister’s speech and the live bilingual discussion will continue thereafter.
