The Rail Budget for the year 2011-12 will be presented in the Lok Sabha today. This will be the third rail budget in a row to be presented by Railway Minister Ms Mamta Bannerjee. AIR correspondent says that there has been no major change in passenger fares for the last 8 years in succession. News Services Division of All India Radio will bring you a bilingual pre-rail budget live discussion from 11.30 a.m. The discussion will be followed by live relay of the Railway Minister’s speech from 1155 hours. After her speech the live bilingual discussion will continue till 1400 hrs. All state capital AIR stations will relay the programme from 1130 hrs. News bulletins at 1300 hrs in Hindi and 1305 hrs in English will be broadcast as usual.(Take suitably) : Consequently, timing of broadcast of language bulletins have been changed. Economic Survey will be tabled in the Parliament by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee later in the day. The survey is likely to focus on the state of economy with high inflation, tackling fiscal deficit, generating growth as priority areas.
