Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda has presented his maiden Rail Budget in the Lok Sabha. This is the first rail budget of the NDA government. Rail budget has evoked mixed reactions in the public. Wi-fi connection facility has been appreciated by the people whereas people have discouraged arrival mobile alert messages . Instead, alert announcements should be made in the trains, suggested a daily passenger.
Women passengers are delighted at the new steps announced for escorting women travelling alone by the Lady RPFs . Also the people are happy to hear the proposed services of sanitation ,e- ticketing and hygenic food provided they are implemented soon.
The railway budget has already been tabled in the Lok Sabha, and people expect fruitful efforts in this direction.
