In Badminton, Indian men's singles player Rahul Yadav Chittaboina and men's doubles pair of Arjun MR and Ramchandran Shlok advanced to the semifinals of the Russian Open Grand Prix in Vladivostok on Friday. Rahul defeated England's Wang Yuehang 13-11,11-5, 11-6 in a 22-minute match. He will meet second seed localVladimir Malkov in the semis. Fourth seeds Arjun and Shlok also notched up a win, defeating Japanese combo of Masato Takano and Yoshiki Tsukamoto 7-11, 11-9,11-8 ,11-9. Arjun-Shlok combo will next face Russian duo of Vladimir Ivanov and Ivan Sozonov, Among others in the fray, eighth seed Anand Pawar lost his quarter-final men's singles match. In women's singles, Sixth seed Rasika Raje and Vrushali Gummadi lost their respective women's singles quarter-final matches. Saurabh Sharma and Anoushka Parikh also crashed out after losing their quarter-final mixed doubles match.
