Rahul visits Mumbai, urges Youth to join politics

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi today visited Mumbai amidst high security arrangements. Mr. Gandhi, who was in Mumbai as a part of the ongoing Mumbai Youth Congress membership drive; called upon the youth of Mumbai to focus on the inclusive development of India and asked them to stay away from divisive politics.<br/><br/>Addressing the students at Mumbai's Bhaidas Hall, he urged the youngsters to join politics if they wanted to make a change in the political system of India. When asked if having a political legacy was a must to join politics, Mr. Gandhi answered in negative. He said that he was working to bring in people who did not have any political family background into politics. <br/><br/>Mr. Gandhi later went on to interact with slum dwellers residing in Ramabai Nagar Colony in Ghatkopar. Speaking at the slum colony, Mr. Gandhi said that the city of Mumbai inspires him. He refused to comment on the derogatory remarks made by the Shiv Sena in recent days.<br/><br/>Earlier, when Mr. Gandhi arrived in Mumbai this morning, Shiv Sena activists waved black flags to protest against his visit.
