Rahul says, if voted to power, Congress will give right to medicine & surgery for poor

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has said if voted to power, his party will give right to medicine and surgery for poor so that they get free medical treatment.

Campaigning for Congress candidate at Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu today he said a dedicated ministry for fisheries at the centre is promised in the party manifesto.

He said Tamil fishermen have problems with Sri Lankan Navy and it will be resolved so that fishermen are benefited. Rahul Gandhi said that 15 crore people were brought above the poverty line during the UPA rule at the centre in the past ten years and India has grown the fastest in this period.

He said the opposition only talks about corruption but there is nowhere in their manifesto as to how they will answer the question of corruption. He said to fight corruption Lok pal bill was passed but to make it complete he urged the opposition to support the five related bills also to be passed.

Delhi-Mumbai, Bangalore Chennai, Delhi to Kolkata manufacturing corridor will be made to encourage home industry.

He urged the people to get a pro poor and secular government formed at the centre. He said that BJP leader Narendra Modi who talks about Gujarat Model should see the Tamil Nadu model.
