Congress Vice President, Rahul Gandhi has said that he has family relation with the people of Amethi and it cannot be affected by any means. Talking to media persons after filing his nomination papers he said, political parties were engaged for polarizing of votes for their benefits but Congress has always tried to unite people. Refuting the poll surveys showing poor performance of his party in Lok Sabha polls, Rahul Gandhi said confidently that all surveys will be proved wrong like it had been in the year of 2004 and 2009 elections.

Underlining his contribution for the development of Amethi he said, setting up a food park is under process and it will be very beneficial for the farmers. He said lakhs of women have been associated with self help groups and it has improved their financial status.

Replying to a question about raising marital status a personal issue of BJP leader Narendra Modi, he said it was not a personal issue but a matter of concealing facts about himself.
