Amid speculations that Rahul Gandhi would be declared Congress party's Prime Ministerial candidate for 2014 elections, Congress Vice president has said that he is ready to take any responsibility if the party decides so.
He would do whatever the party decides him to do. He hoped that the Congress party will do well in the upcoming general elections and his party's return to power will hold good for the country.
Rahul Gandhi has rejected personality oriented rule saying it is not in the interest of the country. Without naming BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, he said, the country should not be governed by the thinking of a particular person or his ways. In an interview to a Hindi daily, he said, the future of 120 crore people can be shaped up and improved only by taking everybody along.
On Priyanka Gandhi's role in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Congress Vice President said Priyanka is an active member of Congress party. She is campaigning to strengthen the organisation but there will not be any election related role for her.
On asking the youth to join politics, Rahul Gandhi said it was this dream of his that he joined politics. Rahul also categorically dismissed reports that Congress is fast losing its allies.
