AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Srinagar and discussed the functioning of the Congress-NC coalition government in the state. An official spokesman said, they also discussed various developmental matters within the state and at the national level. Rahul Gandhi had arrived on Monday on a two-day visit to the state and held a series of meetings with students, youths, panches and sarpanches, party leaders besides addressing a public meeting at Kargil in the frontier region of Ladakh. Rahul also paid obeisance at the Hazratbal shrine on the banks of Dal Lake and interacted with the locals and tourists.
AIR correspondent reports, Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to arrive in Jammu this afternoon.
