Rahul lauds PM Modi for surgical strikes by Army across LoC

Congress Vice president Rahul Gandhi today congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for surgical strikes carried out against terrorists across LoC. Addressing a kisan Yatra meeting in Bulandnshahar today Mr. Gandhi said "I want to congratulate to PM Narendra Modi" for "action worthy of a PM" for the first time in two and half years.<br/><br/>Earlier, addressing a Khaat Sabha at Khurja in Bulandshaar district Rahul Gandhi raised issues related to agriculture sector and said farmers who have been engaged with agriculture are now incurring losses. Mr. Gandhi assured the gathering of farmers that he will think on this crucial issue, how to provide assistance to them.<br/><br/>Later in Aligarh, he lead Road shows in different parts of city and alleged that centre is destroying agriculture. During a road show this evening, Mr. Gandhi said agriculture and farmers both are being neglected by the government. Mr. Gandhi will take night halt in Mathura where his road show will be held tomorrow.<br/><br/>The Kisan Yatra is being carried out by Mr Rahul Gandhi and passed through different districts in last three weeks. The Yatra began from Kushinagar district and has already covered several districts of eastern UP and Budelkahnd region .

Rahul lauds PM Modi for surgical strikes by Army across LoC

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the surgical strikes by the Army across LoC, saying it was the "first action" befitting his post in two-and-a-half years. <br/><br/>He said, he and his party stand by the Prime Minister's decision to carry out surgical strikes. At a road show as part of his Deoria-to-Delhi Kisan yatra in UP's Bulandshahr, Mr Gandhi paid homage to the jawans, who were prepared to make the supreme sacrifice to safeguard the country. <br/><br/>Earlier, addressing a rally in Kanpur Dehat on the 20th of this month, he had said, space for terrorist attacks on Army camps was created by the politics the NDA has practised in Jammu and Kashmir. <br/><br/>He said, the erstwhile UPA government had spent nine years fighting terrorism and curbing it. Alleging that the NDA had no strategy vis-a-vis Kashmir, Mr Gandhi had targeted the Prime Minister, saying, national security cannot be handled like public meetings.
