Middle-order batsman Rahul Dravid cracked a majestic century to guide India to 346 for 5 on the opening day of the second Test against West Indies at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata today. The 38-year old's classic knock of 119 gave the around 10-thousand odd spectators a reason to cheer after their wait for Sachin Tendulkar's elusive 100th international ton that stretched to another innings as the batting maestro got out for 38 runs. The veteran of 159 matches, Dravid conjured up his 36th Test hundred which is his fourth at the Eden Gardens. Earlier, India won the toss and elected to bat. Openers Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir looked in one-day mode and plundered runs at will before Sehwag was out for 38. Gambhir scored 65 while Ishant Sharma failed to open his account. VVS Laxman with 73 was joined by Yuvraj Singh when stumps were drawn for the day due to bad light at the end of 87.3 overs.
