Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has urged Prime Minister to grant special category status to Andhra Pradesh. In a letter written to Narendra Modi on Saturday, Mr Gandhi also requested him to announce a time frame for the fulfillment of commitments made in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act. <br/><br/>Mr Gandhi said, one year has elapsed since the NDA came to power, but many of the commitments remain unfulfilled. He reminded that the State is facing a huge revenue deficit and development works are stagnating.
