Rahul Gandhi slams Nitish govt over non implementation of Central welfare schemes in Bihar

Congress General secretary Mr Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday charged Nitish Kumar government in Bihar of having failed in implementation of Central schemes and proper utilization of funds.<br/><br/>Rubbishing the charges of step brotherly treatment being given to Bihar by the centre, Mr. Gandhi said the centrally sponsored NAREGA scheme has been a complete failure in the state and money meant for poors was being siphoned by middlemen to the tune of 20 percent.<br/><br/>Talking to mediapersons at Patna,Mr Gandhi said Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's intention may be good but his government has thoroughly failed in the implementation of Central welfare schemes.<br/><br/>To drive his point, Mr. Gandhi pointed out that while the centre has so far released 96 thousand crores to the Bihar, the then NDA government at the centre had provided only 50 thousand crores Mr. Rahul Gandhi said education and health sectors have also suffered during the four year rule of NDA government in the state.<br/><br/>To a question Mr. Gandhi said though the centre had provided more than one thousand crore for the relief operation in Kosi region the state government had failed to deliver the aid to the floodvictims.<br/><br/>About price rise Rahul Gandhi said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has assured to reduce price of essential commodities very soon .He said inadequate distribution system and hoardings in the states are mainly responsible for price rise.<br/><br/>The Congress General secretary Rahul Gandhi has called upon the youth to join politics and lead the change in Bihar. On his party prospect in Bihar, Mr. Gandhi said that thing will improve dramatically as congressmen have started going to the people which had not been the case in the past. <br/><br/>Mr.Gandhi criticized the Shiv Sena and Raj Thackerey for their stand on migrants in Mumbai. He reminded them that the 26/11 terrorists attack in Mumbai was fought back by Commandos from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. He said India belongs to Indian and every citizen has right to work and live in Mumbai.
