Rahul Gandhi says his party's aim is to bring more women forward in poll process

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has said that his party's aim is to bring more women forward in the election process.

Seeking women's empowerment while addressing a rally at Tumkur in Karnataka today, Rahul said India can't be a superpower until we empower women, who constitute more than 40 per cent of the electors.

He said Congress wants to use women's strength in the progress of the country and added that the states empowering women are progressing rapidly.

In an apparent attack on BJP and RSS, Rahul said that the opposition does not respect women and their 'ideological sangathan' doesn't have a place for women.
