Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi was today granted bail by a Bhiwandi court in a defamation case relating to his alleged comments blaming RSS for Mahatma Gandhi's assassination. After getting bail, Mr Rahul told media that he appeared before the court to fight for Gandhiji's ideology.<br/><br/>Addressing a public rally at Bhiwandi in Maharashtra, in March, 2014, Rahul Gandhi had alleged that RSS people had killed Mahatma Gandhi.<br/>Rahul had expressed his readiness to face trial after the Supreme Court refused to interfere with the criminal proceedings pending against him before the trial court.The next date of hearing on the case has been set for the 30 of January next year.
