Rahul Gandhi expresses solidarity with flood victims of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry

Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi has expressed his solidarity with the people of flood-hit Chennai and Cudalore in Tamil Nadu and and Puducherry. After visiting the affected public in Cuddalore, Mudichur in Kanchipuram district and Villivakkam in Chennai, he said the Centre and the State need to be much more responsive to the sufferings of the public and insisted that politics should not be mixed with relief and rehabilitation works. <br/><br/>Mr Rahul Gandhi freely mingled with the public in the events organized for him by the local Congress units. He also visited flood hit regions of Rodiarpet, Shanmugha Nagar and Eechangadu localities of Puducherry and distributed relief materials on behalf of Pradesh Congress Committee.<br/><br/>Rahul Gandhi brushed aside the questions on National Herald case and said it is only political vendetta and nothing else.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, the Karaikal region of Puducherry is experiencing heavy rains while weather has cleared in Puducherry. The administration has stepped up its vigil in Karaikal in view of continuing rains.
