Congress general secretary, Rahul Gandhi, on Wednesday appealed to the tribal youths to take leadership and fight against injustice. Addressing a series of meetings in Koraput, Jharsuguda and Mayurbhanj districts of Odisha during his two-day whirlwind tour to the state, Rahul Gandhi, said tribals are being exploited and not given their due share in development. He said they should join politics and monitor their own development.The Congress general secretary also said the youth Congress will provide proper leadership training to the youths for a better tomorrow. On the Rs 52,000 crore Posco steel project near Paradip in Odisha, the biggest foreign direct investment in the country, Rahul Gandhi, made it clear that if the South Korean company provides proper rehabilitation to the affected people then his party will support Posco. He, however, cautioned if Posco fails to do so, Congress will be with the agitating people fighting for justice. He said Congress is not against industrialisation but not at the cost of proper compensation and rehabilitation. Rahul Gandhi also criticised the BJD government led by Naveen Patnaik in Odisha for its anti-poor policies and large-scale corruption. He appealed to the people of Odisha to bring back Congress to power that will bring all round development in the state. After addressing four rallies, Rahul Gandhi returned to Bhubaneswar this evening and was given a warm reception by party leaders at the Biju Patnaik airport. He is scheduled address a public gathering at Bhubaneswar on Thursday before ending his two-day tour to Odisha.
