Rahul emphasizes need to bring structural changes to empower common people

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today emphasised the need to bring structural changes to empower common people . Interacting with corporate leaders in New Delhi today Mr. Gandhi shared his vision with them saying alienation of minorities hurts the country's growth.

He said that the country has witnessed faster economic growth in the UPA regime as it greatly lowered tensions among communities and fostered harmony. Mr Rahul Gandhi urged the industry to broaden its economic vision beyond financial concerns and partner with the government to foster greater economic growth.

He urged the industry to be compassionate towards accommodating schedule caste, schedule tribes, minorities, dalits and weaker sections of societies for their welfare. On the speculations in the media about his becoming Prime Minister and his marriage, Rahul Gandhi dismissed them as hypothetical.

Addressing the concluding session of the CII meet senior BJP leader and leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jetly advocated for a development model that takes everybody along. He alleged that government is misusing the power and said that roadmap for the growth is missing.
