Rahul dismisses advocating of Gujarat model of development by Modi to all states

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has dismissed advocating of the Gujarat model of development by BJP leader Narendra Modi to all states. Addressing a meeting at Bishwanath Chariali in Assam, he said Assam does not need such Model. He said each state has its own history, knowledge, thought and own model and Assam had already one such leading to its development and growth.

Dismissing Modi's claim for taking credit for Gujarat Model of Development, he said this had been in existence for a long time and it has been shaped by women, farmers and workers in the state and not by Modi. He said there is no need for a single person to take credit for it. He said BJP believes in only one thought, which is applicable across the country, but this is not a country of one thought or idea.
