Rahul arriving in Odisha on two-day visit

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is coming to Odisha today on a two-day visit. He will oversee organisational elections of youth and student Congress and also seek ideas from the students for development of India. On the first day, the AICC general secretary is scheduled to interact with students at Cuttack and then fly to Berhampur. After a night halt at Sambalpur, he will interact with students in this western Odisha city and then leave for Baripada to meet the younger generation people. Rahul Gandhi's visit is politically significant as the Congress high command is yet to name any one as the Orissa Pradesh Congress Committee president. This apart, Rahul's visit during the state assembly session, is also significant as the party MLAs have been demanding resignation of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the issue of illegal land acquisition for the proposed Vedanta University.
