AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi today said he will always stand for the rights of tribals. Addressing a huge gathering of tribals at Jagannathpur in Lanjigarh of Kalahandi district of Orissa, he said the recent decision of Union Environment and Forests Ministry to reject environment clearance to Vedanta Company for mining of bauxite in Niyamgiri hills is a victory for the tribals. He said he will always take the voice of tribals to Delhi and fight for them. Rahul Gandhi also said he will always endeovour to bring the tribals to the mainstream of development.Earlier, Rahul was accorded a warm traditional welcome by tribals at Jagannathpur.
