Rahul accuses Gujarat Govt of giving away farmers' land to industrialists

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today accused the Gujarat government of taking away farmers' land and charged the BJP with appropriating credit for schemes launched by the Congress-led UPA.

Addressing a rally in Balasinor, the first destination of his tour programme in Gujarat, Rahul Gandhi said that huge land of farmers and poor people have been sold to industrialists by the BJP Government.

The Congress Vice President ridiculed BJP's claims of battling corruption, saying that they had allowed three convicted Ministers to serve in the state of Gujarat and the leaders with corrupt tag were welcomed to the party in Karnataka.

Refuting the development model of Gujarat by BJP, Rahul Gandhi said that Gujarat is developed because of its people, its women and its cooperative model and not due to the BJP.

AIR Ahmedabad Correspondent reports that after addressing the public meeting at Balasinor in Central Gujarat, Rahul Gandhi went to the villages of little Rann of Kutch in Surendranagar district to listen to the plight of salt-pan workers.
