Raghuvar Das meets BJP Chief ahead of swearing-in as Jharkhand CM

In Jharkhand, the Chief Minister elect of the BJP-AJSU combine Raghuwar Das will take oath on Sunday at 11 AM at Ranchi. BJP sources told AIR Ranchi correspondent that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Party President Amit will attend the swearing in ceremony. Mr. Das along with AJSU President Sudesh Mahto, senior BJP leader Arjun Munda and Trivendra Singh Rawat met the state Governor Sayyed Ahmed yesterday afternoon and staked the claim to form the government.

Prior to his swearing in, Mr. Raghuvar Das on Saturday met BJP President in New Delhi and discussed government formation in the state. Talking to reporters after the meeting, Mr Das said that his priority will be to make Jharkhand corruption free by ensuring good governance. AIR correspondent reports the 59-year-old BJP leader, will be the first non-tribal Chief Minister of the state.
