The 20-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal defeated American Maxime Cressy, 7-6, 6-3 in the Men's Singles final of the Melbourne Summer Set ATP 250 event on Sunday to lift the trophy at the Rod Laver Arena.
The World No. 6 Nadal showed no signs of rustiness as he did not lose a set en route to the title in Melbourne.
It was Nadal's 89th tour-level crown as the Spaniard saved a set point in the first set tie-break and rallied from a game down in the 2nd set against Cressy.
