The External Affairs Minister Mr. S M Krishna on Tuesday said the issue of some Indian students tagged in the US should be understood from the larger perspective. He added that over 1.8 lakh Indians are studying there and the matter relates to just 12 or 18 students. He said in New Delhi that at the same time, India will take up with the US, the issue of Indian students being defrauded by the Tri-Valley University in California. He questioned how such a dubious institute was allowed to function. He said New Delhi has taken up the issue of the students being tagged with the Washington. The US authorities have put radio tags on them to track them for investigations.
