Karnataka Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda on Sunday said the Mumbai-based Tata Institute will carry out a survey on radiation levels in villages surrounding Kaiga Nuclear Plant and treatment would be provided to anyone found affected. He told reporters in Sirsa that the Kaiga Nuclear Power Project had entered into an agreement with the Manipal University for conducting an epidemiological survey of the staff and workers at the plant. The last survey was conducted in 1997-98.The Kaiga project has four power generation units each with a capacity of 220 MWe.
