Nuclear experts today combed the radiation affected scrap market of Mayapuri to further deactivate the contamination. A team of experts from the Depatment of Atomic Energy carried out massive operations following a report by an NGO that several radiation hotspots dangerous to human health existed in the area.<br/><br/>Following the excersise,the experts said that they worked on atleast two places in the market to break the parts of the gamma irradiator containing Cobalt-60.<br/><br/>They said, tiny particles of radioactive material had got mixed with the soil and they are working on how to clear the area. <br/><br/>AIR corespondent reports that radioactive materials auctioned by the Chemistry lab of Delhi University found their way in the scrap market. One person died while four were dangerously exposed to the radiation.<br/><br/> <br/>
