Sowing of rabi crops is in progress in various parts of the country. Agriculture Ministry in its data has said that over 280 lakh hectare area have been covered under the cultivation of rabi crops so far. Wheat has been sown in around 92 lakh hectare area while rice has been cultivated in 64 thousand hectare area and pulses have been sown in over 85 lakh hectare area.
