Around 625 lakh hectare area have been brought under the cultivation of rabi crops in various parts of the country so far.The Agriculture Ministry said, the sown area is over 5 lakh hectare more than the total area cultivated during the same period of last year.It said, wheat has been cultivated in over 298 lakh hectare area while rice was sown in over 24 lakh hectare area.Pulses have been sown around 151 lakh hectare area. As per reports, sowing of rabi crops is progressing well in various parts of the country.
