In Tamilnadu, the AIADMK nominee for the lone Rajya Sabha seat has been declared elected. Popular TV host Mr. William Rabi Bernard has received the certificate of election from the returning officer and Assembly Secretary Mr A.M.P. Jamaludeen. The lone vacancy arose due to the resignation of Mr. K.V. Ramalingam on winning the Assembly election. Mr. Ramalingam is now the Minister for Public works in the State.
