Union Home sectary R.K. Singh today visited Chikandabagh in Poonch and held a meeting with officers and discussed measures for enhancing cross LoC trade and removing impediments in it.

Mr. Singh is on a two day visit of the state and yesterday in the evening he took stock of overall situation in the state with senior officers. He also met state Chief Minister Omar Abudullah and governor N.N.Vohra and discussed over all security and developmental scenario obtaining in the state.

With hopes high about improving Indo-Pak trade relations union home sectary R.K. Singh today visited cross LoC trade point in J&K. He visited chikandabagh in poonch on the line of control and discussed various measures with the officers to remove impediments in it.

The visit has raised hopes that these impediments will be over in near future. the cross LoC trade was started in 2008 and traders have being demanding steps to establish cross LoC banking and communication facilities these facilities will help in changing present barter method of trading into full trading ties.

The state chief minister has been adocationg such facilities so that full potential of cross LoC trades is realized to benefit of people from both sides.
