The Home secretary R K Singh is in Bhutan to attend Friday’s fourth meeting of SAARC Home secretaries. The meeting will review the progress made in the implementation of decisions taken in the third meeting in Islamabad. This meeting will review the progress made in the implementation of the SAARC regional convention on suppression of terrorism besides identifying ways and means to strengthen the cooperation in the member countries. The Home secretaries meeting will be followed by the Home ministers meeting in Thimpu. Home minister P Chidambaram is likely to represent the country in the ministerial meeting.
