Third seeded R. A. Pradeep Kumar from the Department of Post has clinched the title of the G.H. Raisoni Memorial All India Open Fide Rating Chess Tournament which concluded in Nagpur on Saturday.Continuing his domination during the proceedings of the tournament in the last few rounds, Pradeep Kumar emerged as a clear winner with eight points at the end of the ninth and last round of the Swiss-league tournament to take the crown.Second seeded Himal Gusain secured the second position on the basis of tie-breaker after two players equalled the progressive score of 7.5 points each while the top-seeded International Master Krishna from Andhra Pradesh had to be content with the third position.International Master Chandrashekhar Gokhale, FIDE Masters Saurav Kherdekar, M. Vinoth Kumar and Pankaj Joshi and Woman FIDE Master Divya Deshmukh were amongst the prominent participants during the five-day tournament.
