In Haryana, the Queens Baton relay received warm welcomes at Karnal, Panipat Gohana and Bhiwani on Tuesday. In Gohana, the Sonepat MP Jitender Singh Malik received the Baton at Ch Devi Lal Stadium, where various political leaders, players of national and international reputed and local people welcomed the Queens Baton relay. On the occasion the convener of Baton relay Alka Lamba said that this is not an ordinary baton, but it is made with mud brought from different parts of country. The Baton reached Bhiwani from Gohana via native village of international fame boxer and Olympian Vijender singh. At village Shishar of Bhiwani member parliament from Mahendergarh Shruti Choudhary and MLK Kiran Choudhary welcomed the baton relay. The Baton giving message of sport and harmony had moved to Rohtak after covering more than one lakh and 90 thousand kilometres till now. The Baton will also halt at Rohtak on Tuesday.
