Queen's baton relay for CW games to enter India via Wagah Border on Friday

The Queen's baton relay fo the Commonwealth Games will enter India via Wagah Border on Friday. The President of Pakistan Olympic Association will hand-over the baton to his Indian counterpart Suresh Kalmadi at a function on the India-Pakistan border. A grand event has been planned for the occasion. Briefing reporters in New Delhi today, the President of Indian Olympic Association, Suresh Kalmadi said that the baton will travel across 28 states and 7 Union Territories, covering a distance of 20,000 kilometers. The baton relay will reach the National Capital on 30th of September. He said that the opening ceremony will be held on the 3rd of October. In a reply to a question he said he all preparations are in place for the smooth conduct of the Games.
