Quarry rockslide killed 18 in Vietnam

In Vietnam, a quarry rockslide has killed 18 people in the north-central Nghe An province. According to local government officials, the incident occured yesterday after a massive rock fall at the Len Co quarry in the province. They said rescuers are searching for the bodies of two people buried under huge boulders. About 200 troops were mobilised to find trapped workers and six workers had been rescued from the rocks . Deadly accidents frequently occur in quarries in the communist country where labour and safety regulations are often disregarded.
