Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the quality infrastructure will be built at the Himalayan shrine of Kedarnath in Uttarakhand. <br/><br/>Addressing a gathering at Kedarnath yesterday Mr. Modi said, while building modern infrastructure at the Kedarpuri, it will be ensured that environment is not damaged and traditional ethos are preserved. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister said through the work we are doing in Kedarnath, we want to show how an ideal the place of pilgrimage should be and how it could be pilgrim friendly. Mr. Modi said, the new Kedarpuri will have all aminties for pilgrims as well as the priests. <br/><br/>Prime Minister said, service to 125 crore citizens of the country is true service of Baba Kedar. Mr Modi said, his visit to Kedarnath renews his commitment to serve the nation. The Prime Minister yesterday visited the Kedarnath shrine ahead of its closure for next six months today. <br/><br/>Mr. Modi sat at the sanctum sanctorum and offered prayers and performed Rudrabhishek, a day after Diwali. He also laid foundation stone for a number of reconstruction projects in Kedarpuri including renovation of Aadi Guru Shankaracharya's tomb which was devastated in flash floods in 2013.
